- i don't really know Haru so I don't know if she's OOC here. Hikaru, not much I think.
- UNBETA-ed and rushed.

'How did I end up here?' Haru mused. 'When exactly did this insanity started?'

'Oh yeah... I'd had a little crush on him just because he always tease me on set of Orthros no Inu...'

She looked at her so-called boyfriend who was busy laughing with his bandmates.

'Funny how things like that happens. The person you should hate the most becomes someone you really like...'

She remembered that day they confessed to each other.

It was their break. She was eating alone in the table when Nishikido-san approached her and asked her if he could sit with her. She said it was okay and they sat and ate in silence. It wasn't an uncomfortable silence, though. They got on well as co-workers. Nishikido-san was just naturally quiet, and Haru wasn't in the mood to talk.

But then Haru got bored.

"Nishikido-san?" she called.

"Hm?" Nishikido looked up from his food.

"How long have you known Yaotome-san?" she asked.

"Uhmm... Fairly long. Since he was a junior." Nishikido said.

"That long, huh. Are you guys close?"

"Not much. Since we don't work together much. But we get along fine."

"Ah... is he always joking around?"

"Oh yeah... he likes a laugh, that guy."

"Hmm..."

"He always tease you, huh."

Haru frowned. "Unfortunately. Why is he like that?"

"Well, he's like that."

"But why? I mean hasn't he ever had a crush before? Had he have someone he likes? Girlfriend?"

"Why are you asking?"

Haru's eyes widen. It wasn't Nishikido-san's voice. She turned around and cried inwardly when she saw Yaotome's grinning face.

She knew she turned red. She could feel her face heat up.

"Why are you asking?" He asked once more, grinning more broadly. Haru rolled her eyes at him to cover her blushing face.

"And why are you blushing?" Yaotome added.

Haru stood up and took her tray, ignoring Yaotome.

"You like me don't you?" That made her stop. She turned to him to glare at him but she didn't comment.

"You do like me!" Yaotome said loudly and laughed.

Haru replaced her tray in the table and covered his mouth. "Shhh! Someone might hear you! What if they believed you?!" she said angrily.

Yaotome removed her hands, "What if they believe me? It's true!"

"It's not!"

"It is! You're face says it all!"

"I told you it's not!" Haru shoved him and stomped away but then Yaotome grabbed her arms.

"Okay fine, it's not! I was just joking!" he said laughing.

"Hmp." Haru won't look at him.

"Hey, don't get angry! I told you I was just joking."

"It's not funny."

"Yeah it is."

She finally looked at him, glaring.

"Jeez, don't be sore. It's just a joke!"

"Why do you always tease me? Don't you ever have anything better to do?!"

"It's just teasing! That's part of social life! Hasn't anyone love you like that?!"

"What do you mean by that?!?! I mean, don't you know when to stop?! I don't even know why I like you so much!"

"I meant I'm teasing you cause I like you!!"

"Uhmm, guys?" Nishikido pipped.

"What?!?!" Yaotome and Haru said at the same time.

"You do realized what you've said, right?" he said tentatively.

There was a pause and then Haru turned bright pink. And Yaotome laughed, hard.

"No way you're taking that back! We have a witness!" He said gleefully.

'Totally unromantic and unexpected. Well, that's Yaotome Hikaru for you.'

Haru gazed outside through the window. She didn't realized it started raining. And it was pouring down.

Haru sighed and then she glanced at Hikaru. Hikaru caught her and looked out the window too.

He gestured at her. 'Finally he looked guilty. I've been waiting for two hours now.'

"Uhmm, guys, we need to go." Hikaru said to his bandmates. They were supposed to practice for Hey!Say!Band but all Haru could see was boys goofing around since she arrived. She supposed they must have been goofing around longer before that.

Nakajima stopped banging on his drums. "Oh, but Hikaru-kun, it's pouring outside." He pointed out.

Hikaru looked at Haru. "That's okay. We really need to go." he said.

Haru stood up and took out an umbrella and waited by the door, saying goodbye to the boys before she go.

Hikaru arranged his bag and asked Keito to bring his bass guitar with him when they're finished.

"Hikaru." Yabu called, "You didn't bring an umbrella? I think Chii have a spare one." he said

"I do." Chinen said.

"No, it's okay. Haru has an umbrella."

"I don't think you two will fit in that. And the rain's pouring hard." Inoo pointed out.

"No, it's fine. Thanks though." Hikaru said hurrying to the door.

Takaki laughed. "That Hikaru, he just want to squish in with Haru under the umbrella."

---

Haru also took out her jacket and wore it. The rain was pouring down too hard. She new it was useless but better wear the jacket than not at all.

"Let's go." Hikaru said.

Haru ignored him. Hikaru knew she was mad.

They went out in the rain sharing the umbrella. It wasn't helping much. Hikaru had already placed one arm around Haru's shoulder to save space but both of them were still getting wet.

Haru was completely silent, and wasn't smiling. Hikaru thought he couldn't blame her.

After their short walk, which felt sooo long, they were in finally in the train station soaking wet except for their head.

"You told me you'll be finished by 2pm. I arrived at 2pm. It was sunny at 2pm." Haru said but she didn't looked at Hikaru.

Hikaru kept quiet. This was the best thing to do with Haru, he'd have experience. And he knew she wasn't too angry at him cause eventhough it ticked her off, she still waited for him.

They rode the train. Fortunately, it wasn't full and they both had a seat.

Hikaru decided to seat across from Haru. He knew she needed to be alone right now. And he knew it was his fault.

Their journey was silent with Hikaru glancing at Haru every now and then.

Finally, Haru looked at Hikaru and asked, "Until what time is your show tomorrow?"

And Hikaru knew he was already forgiven.

"Around 6PM, I think."

Haru nodded.

They got off the train and started walking again. The rain has somehow let up.

They walked towards Haru's house silently, but it wasn't like earlier.

Before they turn to Haru's street, Hikaru took the umbrella away and both of them got wet.

"Hikaru!" Haru cried.

Hikaru smiled at her and spread his arms to the sky. "I just thought it'd be fun to bathe under the rain."

Haru sighed, but smiled all the same. 'This is Hikaru trying to be romantic.'

But then the rain stopped.

And Haru couldn't help but laugh. "Earlier I didn't want to get wet and you made me walk under the rain, now you made me want to get wet and the sky cleared for us." she giggled.

"You're timing is always off." she giggled.

Hikaru pout at the sky. "And when I'm trying to be cool, too." he grumped.

Haru laughed more. "Don't worry, I love you even if you're a dork."

Hikaru smiled at that but then realized what she'd said and blurted, "Hey!"

Hikaru giggled more. "You're my dork." She said pinching his nose.

Hikaru held the hand pinching his nose and suddenly pulled Haru to him. He swiftly kissed her on her lips.

He pulled back to see a wide-eyed Haru. He laughed, "My timing was right, just now, ne?"

---

Extra:

The next day before their show...

"Hikaru, I told you to borrow Chii's umbrella! Look at you! What'll we do now?!" Yabu panicked.

"I'm sorry..." Hikaru said drowsily.

"Honestly Hikaru, not a good time to get sick." Takaki chided.
