The door to JUMP's dressing room banged opened and in came a raging Hikaru.

Everyone looked at him but he ignored them and proceeded to BEST's quarters.

The other members looked at each other as the door slamed shut closed.

Everyone was at a lost. What happened to Hikaru? Just earlier, he was very happy and excited because he had a date with Haru that day.

Inoo had then pushed Yabu.

Yabu looked at him, alarmed.

'Talk to him.' Inoo mouthed.

Yabu, wide-eyed, shook his head vigorously. 'You do it.' He mouthed back.

Takaki pushed the two of them. 'Both of you, go.' He mouthed with Daiki and the kids nodding in agreement.

They looked at each other in resignation.

Marching up their courage, the two of them had also entered BEST's quarters, as the other member watch with grim faces.

They had found Hikaru in one corner tuning his guitar and seems to be acting casually.

He had smiled when he saw them.

"What's up?" He said in a false-cheery voice.

Inoo frowned at that.

"What's wrong?" He asked his friend.

Hikaru laughed. "What do you mean what's wrong? Everything's fine."

Silence. And then Yabu tried.

"Did... did something happened with Haru-chan?" He asked tentatively.

Hikaru's grin faded.

'Bullseye.'

Hikaru didn't respond and continued to tune his guitar.

"What happened?" Inoo asked. "Is everything okay? Are you two--"

"It's over." Hikaru cut him off. "She broke up with me."

Both Yabu and Inoo's eyes widen.

"Why?" Yabu asked.

Hikaru laughed humorlessly. "Ask her. I don't even know. She took one look at me and then she said she wanted to break up. Said she didn't want to see me."

Inoo and Yabu looked at each other.

"B-but... you love each other." Inoo said cautiously. He knew this is a fact. He had watched the two interact with each other often enough.

Hikaru shrugged, bitterly; his face hard but his eyes stung with tears.

'He still loves her.' Yabu thought.

"Maybe you should talk to her again." Yabu said.

"Didn't you hear what I said?? She said she don't wanna see me again!" He said and then he stood up, grabbed his things and took off.

It had been three days since that day and Hikaru was becoming worse and worse.

It was clear he was still in pain and that he still loves Haru.

Finally, BEST had decided to make Hikaru and Haru talk to each other.

Hikaru didn't want this at first, but they had manage to convince him.

The plan was, Daiki and Takaki would be the first to talk to her, to see what's the problem. Hikaru, Inoo and Yabu would be eavesdropping in the conversation and after that, Hikaru can decide if he still wanted to talk to her or not.

They set the date. Haru has somehow agreed to meet up with Daiki and Takaki.

Hikaru waited nervously for Haru to arrive.

About five minutes after the agreed time, she arrived.

She was as beautiful as ever. And Hikaru's heart ache once more at the reminder of what he could have already lost.

"I'm sorry, I'm late." She told Takaki and Daiki. It was perfectly audible to Inoo, Yabu and Hikaru, who was in the next table, disguised.

"It's okay." Daiki said gently. "Please have a seat."

She took a seat. Takaki called for the waiter and they ordered.

"Haru-chan..." Daiki started.

"Hai..."

"I'm sure you already know, but we... we just wanted to talk about Hikaru." He said.

Hikaru could see her frown but she nodded all the same.

"Hai, how is he?" She asked.

"Well," Takaki said. "Frankly, he's been a mess. He still loves you, Haru-chan. What had gone wrong?"

Hikaru could see her getting teary and he felt another pang of pain in his heart.

"I... I know I shouldn't have done that. I wasn't really thinking then... but when I saw him..." She said, and now Hikaru could see tears flowing from her eyes.

"I... It's because of M-Masaru."

Yabu's eyes widen at this. Was there a third party?

Takaki and Daiki waited, also shocked. Who was this Masaru-guy?

"Hikka... he just reminded me so much of Masaru and I-I just can't look at him right now. It hurts so much."

Haru dabbed at her eyes. "I just can't. It's too soon. I just said goodbye to Masaru. He... he passed away just four days ago..." She said now full-out crying.

Daiki gently patted her on the back, though still shocked and bewidered. He's dead????? Who is he??

"Haru-chan... who is Masaru?" He asked.

But before Haru could reply, Hikaru had stood up from his seat and marched towards her.

Haru saw him and immediately closed her eyes. "Hikka!"

Hikaru hugged her nevertheless. The other members watched.

"I didn't know about Masaru, I'm so sorry. But you know this is for work." Hikaru said as Haru cried to him. "I promise it'll be gone once it's finished, okay? It's okay if we don't see each other in the meantime." He said.

Haru nodded, her eyes still closed.

Understandably flabbergasted, the other BEST members stared at them.

"Er... Are you two okay now? And who is Masaru?" Takaki asked.

Haru sniffed. "He-he's my golden retriever..."

Hikaru nodded. "I gave it to her on our first anniversary. He was still a puppy then." And then she turned back to Haru.

"I'm really sorry." He said again. "I promise I'll dye my hair black one's my drama is over. And you don't have to watch it either."

Haru nodded.

BEST just, well, stared.
