macymacethis is a birthday fic for Ryuu. RYUU HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
...uhmm, cause i can't really think of a ryuu-centered plot... it's another ryuunon. sorry bout that....

-for Ryuu-chan's birthday! Happy 16th! How time flies by~! Before you were just this little cute boy I don't really notice but now.. you've captured Kanon's heart. lol /whacked.
Ryuu smiled as he browsed through his childhood pictures.
He didn't really know what got into him. He just suddenly woke at around 3AM, and then he felt like looking at his old pictures.
Maybe because it was his birthday.
He was already 16, and now in high school.
Maybe that's why he was feeling a bit nostalgic.
He laughed when he saw one of his picture.
It was a picture of him and his best friend when they were four. They were doing the 'fusion'-pose of Goten and Trunks.
They loved playing role games then. He was Goten, and his best friend was Trunks. They had always called themselves 'Gotenks' before. They really like Dragon Ball Z.
All the other pictures after that was mostly of them playing Dragon Ball.
Ryuu gave out a loud chuckle at one particular picture. It really looked as if his best friend was flying then, she had jumped down a tree when his mom had taken the shot.
Ryuu smiled, Kanon sure was boyish then.
He took another album.
They were a bit older in there. Maybe five or six. Ryuu was sure it was before he auditioned for Johnny's.
This time they were playing Magic Knight Rayearth.
The young Ryuu really didn't want this. He'd rather they play Yu Yu Hakusho or Flame of Recca, but Kanon can really be persuasive.
They had a picture with Shin and Natsune as well. Ryuu remembered he was 'Zagato,' the antagonist. It was a girly anime so he absolutely wanted to be the antagonist. Meanwhile, Shin being naive and still cute, then played as 'Clef.'
And Natsune and Kanon played as the protagonists, 'Hikaru' and 'Umi.'
Ryuu laughed at himself. 'I actually remembered the names of the characters.'
The next pictures were of them playing 'Pokemon.'
Ryuu laughed very hard when he saw Shin's picture as 'Pikachu.' Kanon had even drew red circles on his cheeks with her mom's lipstick. Kanon was playing as 'Ash', Natsune as 'Misty' and Ryuu as 'Rock'
In the next album, they were still very young. And it seems they hadn't dropped the habit of playing Animes.
There was a picture of them playing a made-up game based from Card Captor Sakura.
Ryuu tried to remembered how they played this.
'The 'it' would be either 'Sakura' or 'Shaoran.' The other players play as cards. The 'cards' would hide and 'Sakura' or 'Shaoran' would come and find them. The 'cards' must be taken by surprised so that they wouldn't be able to use there power... I think it was something like that.'
Ryuu smirked. 'Kanon was really sneaky, then, always using 'Freeze' or 'Time'.'
Ryuu remembered it was the same year when they played 'Beyblade.'
'Now that I think about it, I think Kanon was bullying me then...' Ryuu mused. Kanon had declared then that she was 'Kai' and that Ryuu was her beyblade, 'Dranzer.' She used to make him spin and spin.
Both of them weren't busy then, even though both have already entered each's agencies. So they could still play.
It was Ryuu who first auditioned for Johnny's. It was his mom who sent in his application. When he told Kanon this, she said she wanted to enter Johnny's as well. Ryuu was very happy then, and he told his mom, but then she said she couldn't enter since she's a girl. They were both depressed for a while until Kanon found out about Hello! Project and decided to enter there, instead.
Ryuu moved to the next album. He smiled sadly when he saw the first picture. It was the last anime they played, 'Prince of Tennis.'
He laughed when he saw they were even wearing made up Seigaku uniforms.
He was playing as 'Kaido' then, and Kanon as 'Momoshiro'. It was Kanon's idea. At first Ryuu suggested they'd be 'Kikumaru' and 'Oishi,' the golden pair. But Kanon said that she'd rather they were Kaido and Momo.
"We're best friends and rival now so it fits if we're Kaido and Momo! We'll both be great idols, but I'll be more
popular!" This were her words then.
Honestly speaking, even before, they had been very competitive with each other. So really, it fits to call Kanon his rival.
'I think that's also why I think of Yama-chan as a rival, adding to the fact that we auditioned at the same time. Yama-chan reminds me of Kanon with his strawberry obsession.'
Ryuu then moved to the next albums.
They were mainly pictures of him as a Jr.
There were pictures of him and the current JUMP as kids.
There a lot of albums for these, and only some showing pictures of him and Kanon. Both were so busy so they could only see each other sometimes.
There was also even a phase were they really didn't make effort to meet each other. During those times, Ryuu was rather awkward around her. And it was the same for Kanon, Ryuu could feel it.
Ryuu chuckled. 'Puberty.'
At Ryuu's birthdays, she would surely come, and Ryuu on hers. But mostly they'd just say 'Happy Birthday' to each other.
His fellow Jrs. thought she was only a family friend.
But on Ryuu's 14th birthday, it was as if the awkwardness disappeared. Maybe they just missed each other too much.
On his and Kanon's 13th birthday, they weren't able to meet, and even after that.
They literally hadn't met for a year and some months.
And on Ryuu's 14th birthday she suddenly hugged him and Ryuu, taken by surprised just laughed.
On his 15th birthday, though, they hadn't met because of work. Ryuu celebrated with JUMP then.
'Wonder if we'll meet later...' Ryuu mused, hopeful.
Ryuu moved to one more album. He was surprised to see Kanon's pictures there. It was pictures of her at work.
He smiled, 'Aunt probably gave mom some copies.'
Their moms were the best of friends, just like them.
'Wait, does that mean Aunt also have pictures of me?!?!'
Ryuu pounded his head on his table. "Mou~!" He said out loud. "This is so embarassing."
He sighed, accepting that he really can't do anything about that now.
He browsed through the album.
He smiled, Kanon was enjoying her work very much.
There were even recent pictures of her. There were some from her first concert.
Ryuu felt a little guilty. He hadn't had the time to go to one of their performance.
Truthfully, he tried. Kanon had gone to JUMP's first concert. But at that time of S/mileage's concert, he couldn't really do anything. Kanon had said it was okay, but still...
Ryuu stopped at one picture.
It was a picture of Kanon wearing a costume as Cinderella.
'Cinderella huh~' he mused, looking at the picture.
"Kanon is playing as Cinderella now... but where does that put me? I don't want to be her step-sister or something..." He grumbled.
There was a pause and then he smiled, "Well, since I'm hamster boy, then maybe I could just replace the rat and be Cinderella's hamster?"
Of course, no one answered him and after a while of silence.
"Ugh! I really miss Kanyon~" He said, pounding his head on his table once more.
---
"Ryuu~ Ryuu~ Wake up, birthday boy..."
Ryuu woke with a start. He was still on his table. He hadn't realized he had fallen asleep.
"Kanon!" He said, shocked.
Kanon smiled at him.
"What are you doing, sleeping on the table?" She said, laughing.
"Fell asleep..." Ryuu said.
"Wait~!" Kanon exclaimed, "Oh my God, is that my pictures?!" She said, snatching the album.
"Ahh! This is so embarassing!" Kanon exclaimed, covering her face with her hand. "But of course you'd have this, ugh! Mom! Mou!"
"So you have my pictures too, huh?" Ryuu said in surrender.
Kanon nodded. "Our moms..."
Ryuu nodded in exasperation.
"Okay, casting our humiliation aside, Ryuu-chan! Here's your gift!" Kanon said handing him a package.
Ryuu smiled. "Thanks, can I open it now?"
"Yeah, sure." Kanon said, sitting on Ryuu's bed.
Ryuu opened the package and saw an NDS game. He'd looked closer to see it was 'Dragon Ball Z.'
He laughed. "Thanks, Kanyon!"
Kanon grinned. And then Ryuu saw another thing inside the pack, it was S/mileage's first concert DVD.
"Thanks for this, too! I'll watch it with the family later." He said.
"I'll watch with you guys." Kanon then said. "You better not tease." She warned.
Ryuu pout. "But you did with last JUMP's."
"But you were cute!" Kanon protested, laughing.
Ryuu laughed as well, taking the DVD out for a closer look.
He saw once again Kanon wearing a Cinderella costume.
He didn't really know why, and where it came from but then he said, "Ne, Kanyon... you're playing Cinderella now but what about me?"
"Eh?"
"Well, before we were Goten and Trunks. But now what? You're Cinderella... can I be Cinderella's hamster?"
There was a pause wherein Ryuu realized what he'd just say and blushed furiously.
Kanon laughed, hard.
When she calmed down she said, "Ryuu... we're not kids anymore. Why should we still play anime or cartoon role?"
Ryuu was sad to hear that from her. It was something really special for him.
But then Kanon continued. "Let's play idol role instead!" she exclaimed excitedly.
"Eh? Idol-role?"
Kanon nodded, smiling. "Hmm, have you heard about that guy from JUMP? The youngest? The one who doesn't really get much lines?"
"Oi!"
Kanon laughed and continued. "You can be him, Morimoto Ryutaro. And then I'll be hmmm..." She said pretending to think for a while.
"Ryuu, do you know that popular group S/mileage? Those with amazing legs? I'll pick from them. Yosh, I'll be Maeda Yuuka!" She said.
"Ha? Maeda??" Ryuu said, shocked.
"I was just kidding silly." She said, pinching Ryuu's cheeks. She always does that. "Of course I'll be Fukuda Kanon, she's prettier, ne?"
Ryuu laughed, shaking his head. But inside, he really does agree.
Kanon smiled at him and said, "We won't be Gotenks anymore, but we'll be RyuuNon."
"RyuuNon, huh..." Ryuu said, smiling. "That has a good ring to it."
