Aaah! This is my first time ice skating! It was our field trip; my first field trip as a high school student. Our destination? Kanagawa Skating Rink

And because it was my first time, I didn't really know what to do. I just followed whatever my friends did.

Mariya taught me how to wear my skates properly and she helped me balance as I enter the rink.

I really can’t move towards the middle of the rink ‘cause I feel I’ll fall if I didn’t have anything to hold on to. Mariya, Umika, and Mirai on the other hand seems like they’re only walking on the rink. Actually, it’s like they’re running. They skate so fast! They have been going around in circles together.

Mariya was actually jumping as well.

Well, at least I wasn’t the only one hanging by the wall. Suzuka, Asami and Saaya were also with me. But when Jingi, who knows how to skate, came, Saaya was in the middle of the rink in no time.

NYC (YamaJimaChii), in the meantime, were fooling around and even lying down the ice. They’re really such kids, but it was fun watching them.

Even the other skaters were smiling because of their antics.

Miki and Shougo did help us three. The pros, meaning si Mariya, Umika and Mirai were busy doing exhibitions in the middle of the rink.

It was hard work but finally, me and Suzuka had reached the middle.

There was a staff who approached Asami and taught her. Suzuka was being helped by Miki. Me? Shougo was watching me fall on my butt.

“Shougo!!! Help!” I reached my hand to him but he was too far and he was moving farther still!

“Nozomi, I don’t know how to skate as well. Earlier, Miki was there so I could balance. We’ll both fall if I help you.” He was really moving away from me!

Finally I found my balance.

I stopped all my movements. I felt like if I move, I’ll fall.

“Non-chan!!”

I was surprised to see Asami fast approaching me and then we crashed. I closed my eyes at the both of us fell. My arms and hands hit the ice but my head fell on something soft.

 “Hey! Are you okay?” I heard Mirai’s voice.

The weight on my bag disappeared. It seems Asami had already stood up.

“Non-chan was soft…  Hehe…” Asami no baka!

I opened my eyes and realized that I fell on someone.

“Is Shougo soft, too?” Here it is again. Saaya and her teasings,

And I just realized that all my friends were here now.

 “Are you okay?” Hayato helped me up.

“Still alive??” I heard Kamiki say. Wow, he sure is sincere. Obviously very sincere since he’s holding Yuto’s digicam and it was set on ‘recording.’

 “I think I sprain my right wrist.” I said.

“Let me see.” Suzuka held my hand and inspected it.  “It’s red.” She took out her handkerchief and tied it tightly around my wrist.

“Do you wanna take a rest first?” I have to smile at that. Suzu-mama and Jingi-papa are really worrywarts.

 “Yeah…”

“I feel everyone's love for me… You don’t even ask me if I’m okay…” Shougo, who was still lying on the ice said.

“Shougo, are you okay?” Mirai then said, as if she was forced.

“Thanks. Really, thank you... You guys really love me. I wanna sit for a while…”  Shougo just said in surrender.

 “Stand up first, how are you going to get out the rink if you don’t stand…” Yuto said.

“Can you just carry me? My back hurts…”

“Sorry…” I said.

“I don’t think I can carry you, though. I’ll drag you instead.” And there goes Chii really dragging Shougo out the rink. But it was difficult since Chii is wearing ice skates so a little while later, Chii fell on the ice.

Shougo then stood up and exited the rink. There were benches there.

Both of us removed our ice skate and took a seat.

 “I remembered when Miki was trying to escape and slipped. I laughed at him then, I didn’t know it really hurts. Well, I think he prefers to slip than to be cornered by Mirai about her picture in his wallet.”

I laughed at that.

Then, Shougo lied down on the bench.

“Sorry… Still hurting?” I asked.

“It’s okay… It’ll be gone eventually…” He sighed. “You really attract accidents, don’t you?”

“I said I was sorry…” I said. Now that I think about it. It did seem that Shougo always get dragged in whatever that happens to me.

I think he’s around in all my accidents since first sem. Well sorry, I didn’t want to be clumsy.

“You really need to be taken care of, don’t you? Maa, it’s okay… it’s fun for me…Now I know how it feels to have a dog.”

"Meanie!!!!" I pouted at him

He laughed. A little later I joined him. We must have looked crazy then.

4 years old Saaya had been trying to cover her test paper.

But Jingi just kept looking at it.

So when sensei went to the back of the room, Saaya threw an eraser at Jingi.

"Ouch!" Jingi exclaimed.

"Sensei said no cheating!" Saaya said, frowning.

Jingi checked where sensei was before he answered Saaya.

"I wasn't cheating!" he said quietly.

Saaya also looked at their sensei. She was still at the back.

"Then why do you keep looking at my test paper?" She asked, her frown deepening.

"I was just checking if you're name goes well with my surname!" Jingi said smiling.

Saaya stopped at her tracks and then blushed.

There was a pause and then she threw a sharpener at Jingi.

"OUCH!"

"Of course it will fit! We have the same surname! You were cheating!"

02 Assignment

Mirai saw Ryosuke playing with Miki and the others again.

The 5 years old girl frowned.

Their sensei has asked Mirai to always check on her best friend, Ryosuke because he tends to slack off.

She approached Ryosuke. They were playing tag.

She poked him. "Oi, have you finished your assignments?"

Ryosuke shouted,"Time out!" and then faced Mirai.

"I finished it already." He said, smiling brightly at Mirai.

"Cross your heart and hope to die?" Mirai asked, suspicious.

"Yeah. I finished it." Ryosuke insisted.

Mirai frowned.

"Cross my heart and hope I die?" Mirai asked.

"I haven't finished it. I'll do it later, I promise."

03 Owiee..

Yuto was surprised to see Suzuka alone in the playground, crying.

He approached her.

"What happened?" The 5 years old boy asked.

Suzuka just shook her head but she continued to cry.

Suzuka was surprised when Yuto hugged her.

"Sorry..." Yuto said.

"Why are you saying sorry?" Suzuka asked. Yuto was still hugging her.

"Cause I wasn't there to protect you to whatever it was that made you cry..."

"Isn't it cute?" Little Nozomi asked Shougo. It was their break.

Nozomi was wearing a new headband.

"It's cute, ne? Mirai-chan gave it to me. She said it suits me!" She said grinning.

Shougo didn't say anything but just looked.

"What? You're gonna counter me again??" Nozomi said pouting.

"Did I say anything?" Shougo said. "And when did I counter you?"

"You always do! I thought you'd laugh at me again." Nozomi said, now smiling.

"I only counter you whenever you claim you don't like me." Shougo teased.

Nozomi blushed.

"I don't have a crush on you!" Nozomi said, red in the face.

"Then why are you blushing?? Because you like me!!"

"Not true!!!"

"Why do you deny it? I don't deny I like you!"

05 Sulk

"Umika!" Chii called.

But Umika just continued her coloring.

"Umi-chan! What did I do? Why are you ignoring me? Did I do something wrong?" Chii asked, pouting.

Finally, Umika looked at her.

"You're the one ignoring me... You're always playing with Ryosuke and the others... You even forget you promise we'll watch Tangled at home..." She said, frowning.

"I didn't forget! But we had practice yesterday... I'm sorry..." Chii said.

Umika was still frowning.

"Do you want to watch later?" Chii asked.

"But aren't you and Ryosuke playing Pokemon card later?" Umika asked..

"That's okay... Let's watch instead!" Chii said, grinning.

Umika grinned as well. "Okay."

"So we're friends again?" Chii asked.

"Mm.." Umika nodded.

It has finally come.

Yuto don't really know what to do. He feels so excited.

Finally this day.

They have been waiting for months now. And now it was here.

"Yuto, please stop crushing my hand, you're not the one giving birth." Ryuu complained besides him.

"Sorry, I'm just so excited." Yuto said. He had called his friends when he knew it was finally time.

He heard her cry. He wanted to touch her but sensei had forbidden him to.

"Mirai..." He called her.

"It's here." Sensei suddenly said.

"Eh? It's here? It's here??" Yuto exclaimed.

"Yes..." Sensei said.

"Okay now push." Sensei said to Mirai.

Mirai obliged.

"A bit more." Sensei urged.

Mirai just followed her words.

It seems Mirai was really having a hard time. Yuto wished she wasn't in too much pain.

"I can see the head!" Sensei suddenly said.

"Ow!" Ryuu exclaimed, Yuto had really crushed his hand this time.

And a while later, sensei faced them and smiled.

"Two girls." he said.

"Two girls???" Yuto exclaimed, very very happy.

"Mirai you're a mom now! I'm so proud of you!!!" Yuto said patting Mirai on the head.

Ryosuke sighed.

"Yuto, now that it's over, I just want to tell you. Can't you give your dog another name? It's too disturbing..."

Yuto grinned sheepishly. "Sorry, Raiya named her." 

He went back to his dog. "Mirai-chan! Two female puppies! And you're okay as well! Yokatta ne~"
