Keito never really thought of the day.
So it came a surprise for him when he arrived at the city and saw all the decorations.
As he walked through the city, he could see many products, people shopping and celebrating for the occasion.
He forgot it was Mother's Day.
Yuto had mentioned it a few days back, asking for his opinion for a gift. He didn't really paid attention then.
He had a mother, but currently she was in Chiba.
And well... she hadn't been much a mother to him...
It had been so long since he saw her.
He only saw her once after returning to Japan. And they had said their goodbyes with an awkward air.
How long has it been since then?
Frankly, one of the reasons he hadn't visited her was because he didn't know how to face her.
They weren't very close. That was expected because half his life he had lived away from her. Sure they send mails and call each other but that can't really match really being there with him. Being able to see him, to touch him...
Keito stopped in front of a flower shop.
He stared at it for a while. The shop was full of red roses and carnations.
He sighed. The last time he had bought his mom a carnation was when he was 8 years old, just before he went to England. And that time, her mom didn't go home til night and when he woke up, she was already gone. So he wasn't really able to give it to her.
Thinking for a moment, he decided he'll just order her some flowers to be wired to Osaka.
He went inside the shop and made his order.
It was quick and then he left the shop.
But once he was out, he noticed a young girl, around six or seven, peeking through the shop's window and crying quietly.
The little girl beamed at him and the both of them entered the shop.
Keito bought Sumire her carnation.
"Arigatou oniichan!" Sumire said as Keito passed her the flower.
They went out together.
"Is Sumire-chan going to her kaasan now?" Keito asked.
The little girl nodded.
"You want me to accompany you?" He asked, worried for the girl commuting home alone.
"If niichan wants to." She said.
"Alright, let's go then." Keito said.
They took the bus. They chatted while rode. The little girl talked about her mom. Seems she really loves her. Keito had to smile.
And then little Sumire said they'll get off at the next stop.
Sumire was jogging a bit as they walk towards her home. Keito just followed her.
"We're almost there!" Sumire said and then she ran ahead of him.
Keito smiled at the energetic girl.
But Keito stopped in his tracks when he saw where she entered.
It was a cemetery.
He followed the little girl inside.
She ran back to him and pulled him towards a freshly dug graved.
The little girl placed the carnation on the grave.
"Kaachan, look! Keito of JUMP came with Sumire-chan!" she said, beaming.
And then she smiled back at Keito.
Keito only smiled sadly at her.
After that Keito had accompanied the girl to her home.
And then he returned to the city.
What he had witnessed had left him pondering.
He found himself back in front of the flower shop.
Smiling, he went inside and canceled his order. Then he bought a bouquet of flower.
He'll just take the train to Osaka, it'll just be a while.
Before he went out the shop though, he made another order.
"Uhm can I order one carnation? To be delivered here..." he said as he write down the address.
---
Yabu really don't know what to make of this.
He didn't even realized it was that day but then...
Well, he could take the four carnations. One was delivered from a flower shop. That was from Keito, the other three was given to him personally by Yamada, Chinen and Yuto. He was touched to see those.
Those and Ryuu's handmade card with a drawing of the whole JUMP. That really made him smile.
But then the other gifts...
Well, Dai-chan's wasn't bad. It was a pre-ordered mug with the picture of Hey! Say! JUMP disappearing and a picture of him appearing whenever it is poured with hot water. That was really cool.
Hikaru's was okay, as well. It was a personalized trophy. With 'HSJ's Ichiban: Yabu Kota' engraved on it. It was cute.
But Inoo and Takaki's...
He guess he could take Inoo's... It was a T-shirt with Superman logo, but instead of 'Superman' below it, written was 'Super Mom.'
But then Takaki's...
Yabu took it out for inspection.
It was really frilly and lacy... it was a blue apron... and the worst was...
"What's with 'Sexy Mamah'?" Yabu asked out loud.
Happy Mother's Day Yabu-mama!!! XD

Happy Mother's Day to All Moms!! :D

"Keito-kun!" he said, surprised.
He smiled at her. "What's the problem?"
The little girl frowned and opened her hands. She was holding a few coins.
"Sumire-chan wanted to buy a carnation for her kaasan but Sumire-chan don't have enough money..." the girl said.
The little girl beamed at him and the both of them entered the shop.
